Yes, do it!
Chemical Technology sounds so badass.
What does this field cover, what are the practical applications for daily life, if any?

I am basically learning clean procedure. I'll mostly be working in a clean room in a lab with different reagents and chemicals. There is the possibility of microbiological and genetic applications if I decide to go that way. I'll be bable to get my AAS in under two years and the median starting salary is around 70k.
