Can anyone help me identify this? I believe it is leucoagaricus Americana.

I found these on the sidewalk just a few blocks down from my house, on the grassy patch by the sidewalk in front of the neighborhood gas station. Looks like it was growing on a pile of buried something or maybe a stump they had partially removed.

When asking for an ID, please include a general location.

This articulates the growing conditions for specific fungi, a key factor in identification!

These were found in mid-late fall in Mid-Hudson Valley, NY. It's about 2 hours slightly northwest of the city. :)
