Here's my most recent custome PC build.
It's a solid budget game rig, runs most games at 1440 like a champ.

Dude that is so badass! I need a good PC to run my business from and I want Windows. Any particular build you would recommend for a standard computer with a  $2000 budget?

Thanks! I only have experience with the AMD/ATI family of bits. This one cost about $1300 if I remember right. It was built with gaming in mind, so it's built around supporting it's GPU without much extra.
I've never built one for productivity purposes. I'd think moving up to a ryzen 7 or 9 CPU would be of benefit.
For general use most any modern GPU with 8gb or more should serve.
If you also game or do video processing I'd get a beefier GPU with at least 12gb. This GPU has been very solid, they start getting pricey fast above this one. The top Nvidia cards are very powerful, just a bit very expensive.  ;)
16gb of system ram has been plenty for me but productivity apps benefit from lots of system ram so I do the full 32gb for a biz machine.
I think you could do a good build for that price point.

I used to build PCs in the 90s, nothing this sexy. But if all you want is a biz PC, I would buy a dell laptop. New ones are less than 500. I don't like windows 8,10,11, etc. I am a luddite that still prefers windows 7, so I tend to buy used laptops from Zon for about 150.

Thanks. A little paint goes a long way. 😂
A laptop is a good idea.
